Why does the system work?

Anthony and Steve know that to make money from betting you need to take a different approach to the masses. This system looks for horses that historically have a hard task winning the type of race they have been entered in, the reasons why will be explained fully in the systems text, hence many of the bets are lays, but such is the confidence behind these selections running abysmally that we do not lay them to win we lay them not to finish in the frame. The flip side to this is that we also back certain selections Each Way (win and place) as some trainers are very astute at hiding a horse’s true ability, but the system picks up on this type of animal at a glance and some win at very rewarding odds. The last part of the method selects horses we think may not win the race but look certain to get placed covering the whole spectrum of bets on the Betfair market.

THE SYSTEM

Anthony Gibson and Steve James discuss racing matters on a regular basis and like to bounce ideas around knowing the end result will profitable. Steve has worked at many racing stables in his career placing horses for trainers based upon the ability they have shown at home. The key objective for any trainer is to win a maiden or a novice race on the flat and then hopefully take the horse to greater heights, or a novice race in the jumping sphere, of course some horses cannot and will not win any type of race, but if a horse fails win as a novice then the only option is to try to win a handicap race.

Novices going into handicaps for the first time generally face a stiff task as handicappers are battle hardened performers used to the rough and tumble of racing, it takes a very shrewd trainer to win a handicap, but an absolute master of his trade to win a handicap race with a debutante and this is were we apply THE TWO HEADS system to make our profits. Steve sowed the seed regarding handicap debutantes. It was now up to Anthony to turn Steve’s insider knowledge into a profitable betting system.

If the above statement is true about handicap debutantes then most of the selections must be LAY bets and because the horses have such an abysmal time in handicap races then generally we can lay the selections not to get placed, greatly reducing our liability and not taking a massive hit if one does manage to win a race. To achieve this is quite an undertaking, one that the Two Heads system excels at.    

The flip side here is that some trainers can win these types of races with debutantes, one trainer in particular has made his name placing horses to win first time in handicaps, not only achieving that with great aplomb but going on to run up a sequence of wins from the animal in this sphere, he is of course Sir Mark Prescott. He achieves this by running a horse bred to stay, over long distances over a trip far too short for its pedigree, getting the horse well handicapped in the process, its form figures would make you think the animal had no ability whatsoever as it has been well beaten on its three starts to date, then surprise! Surprise! First time in a handicap over a longer trip the horse bolts up!!

The system does pick up on these trainers who do well with this type of horse and takes this into account as we back these selections for a win and place (each way) as many go off at huge odds as the mainstream punter does not take the necessary factors into account. We also monitor the betting market as this is a firm guide as to the chances of a horse running in a handicap for the first time, leaving absolutely NOTHING TO CHANCE.
